Mark Hunter
LCLS Biological Sciences Department Head
Mark has a background in methods development for studying structural dynamics in biology at very high spatial and temporal resolution. Mark studied the photosynthetic proteins Photosystem I and II during his Ph.D. studies leading to several foundational experiments utilizing LCLS, including time-resolved measurements that enable us to better understand their photocycles.
Mark continues to be interested in structural dynamics and how to enable their measurements using advanced technologies such as LCLS and the upcoming upgrades.
